Cause-related advertising represents the confluence of perspectives from several specialised areas of inquiry corresponding to advertising for nonprofit organizations, the promotion mix, corporate philanthropy, company social responsibility, fund-raising administration, and public relations. The authors define the concept of cause-related advertising, its characteristics, and how organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit, can profit from efficient use of this promising advertising device. Support from the corporate sector is an important revenue supply for many nonprofit organizations. In this article, we contemplate individual-level influence throughout the decision-making processes of firms as they make selections concerning nonprofit arts sponsorship.
